Dark Horse Of FIFA World Cup 2022?
Every world cup we see a team performing above expectations and surprising their rivals. We saw Croatia thrashing teams and playing the final against all odds in 2018. In 2014 we saw Costa Rica. Before them, in 2010 we saw Uruguay. There are also other teams like Colombia and Russia in 2014 and 2018 respectively performed really well and gave a hell of competition to the rivals. They were not able to go all the way but they let every team feel their presence. This year will be no different, we will witness a dark horse in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.
The world cup is going to start in a week. There are really good squads full of talent people expect to win. Like Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany, and England. They have a pretty strong squad, especially Argentina and Brazil. But still, there will be a team that can upset.
Senegal
Kalidou Koulibaly, Eduardo Mendy, Ismaila Sarr, Krepin Diatta, Idrissa Gueye, Cheikhou Kouyate and Pape Guey. A strong talented squad. Which are quite underrated but when you see them playing at their peak you know something is special in these guys. Senegal is coming to the world cup after winning the AFCON Cup 2021 by Beating Egypt in the Final. Egypt is the strongest team but still, they manage to beat them and book their place in the world cup. They have the talent to beat any team so this year, they are a strong contender to be a dark horse of this world cup.
Wales
Wales is a team with veteran talents like Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale, Chris Gunter, Joe Allen, Ben Davies, and Wayne Hennessey. And some young talents, Neco Williams, Daniel James, Harry Wilson, Ethan Ampadu, and Joe Rodon. If these players are managed they can give results. Gareth bale and Aaron Ramsey are two quality players. They played for the biggest Clubs in Europe. Both have the quality to shine at the moments where it matters the most. Remember Gareth Bale’s bicycle goal in the Champions League final against Liverpool. So they have what it takes to win the biggest competition.
Serbia
They booked their place in the world cup by beating Portugal. Not a regular but a strong Portugal side. The last-minute goal was amazing. They don’t give up till the end. So there is a chance that they might upset their rivals. They have a talented squad, Vlahovic, Mitrovic, Luka Jovic, Milenkoviv, Dusan Tadic, Kostic, and Gudelj. These players are young and fearsome and we all know what young guns can do in modern football.
Uruguay
Fede Valverde the warhorse of Real Madrid. Darwin Nunez the Liverpool striker. Ronald Araujo is the Barcelona defense captain. These are the players that shine during the 2022-23 season. They were phenomenal for their clubs. Always pressing, looking for the spaces, defending as their life depends on that. And also Cavani and Suarez the sharpshooters bring their own experience. Bentancur and Pellistri both are quality midfield players. Uruguay has all these talents. A team with such players will be a force to reckon with. Nobody is talking about the potential of this team but on the field we witnessed these players creating havoc. They can take advantage of this and surprise the other big teams.
A football match is not won by having the greatest players but by the players who give their all in the present day. All these teams are there to win there is no such thing as big teams and small teams. All the teams playing in the world cup are the best. Any team can win that is why they have come to participate.
