England Thrashed Wales Out Of World Cup
Wales played their last match of the group stage against England. England thrashed Wales and knocked them out of the 2022 Worldcup. Wales are now to go home and start preparing for the next tournaments. England on the other hand will enjoy their qualification.
Domination by England continues
Well, let’s talk about the great performance England has done. They qualified at the top of the group, kept a clean sheet, and scored thrice a well-earned victory. That match was all square at halftime. In the 50th minute, Rashford broke the deadlock. He scored the direct freekick into the top right corner. Then in the next minute, Foden strikes to double the lead. This time Kane did well to assist him but Foden was smart to reach the ball at the right time and place. It was an easy finish though. In the 68th minute, Rashford scored again to extend the lead. This time Ward did manage to touch the ball but only to deflect it into his goal. After three goals in 18 minutes, the game was pretty much in England’s hands. So they keep the game going until the last minute and then celebrated their qualification.
Wales was not able to hurt England as they played the game on the back foot. They attempted only 7 shots out of which 1 was on target. Wales didn’t manage to win any game in their World cup 2022 group-stage journey. They should learn from their mistakes and do better next time.
Man of the match
Marcus Rashford ran the show for England. The Manchester United winger scored two wonderful goals, one was a superb freekick, and the second was troubling defenders with his dribbling and pace. Also was involved in Foden’s goal as he won the ball and send it to Kane who assisted later. So he won the man of the match award for his masterclass performance.
England and USA will manage to qualify for the round of 16. Wales will be disappointed with this tournament as they didn’t even win a single game. Iran made a good effort against USA but it was not enough to qualify for the next game. They had to beat the USA but they failed in doing so. England will face Senegal and the USA will face the Netherlands in the round of 16. Let’s see what the three lions and the Americans do in the next stages of this amazing World Cup.
