Argentina And Poland Qualifies For Next Round

Messi’s Argentina collided with Lewandowski’s Poland in the last game of group C. Argentina came out top with a 2-0 victory and is now qualified for the next stage of the world cup. Poland was really poor in their final group-stage game. But they will qualify as they have a better goal difference, all because of their 2-0 victory against Saudi Arabia.

Argentina in Charge

Argentina dominated the whole match as they scored twice. They could have scored more as Lionel Messi missed the penalty in the first half. But in the 2nd half, they scored twice and won the game. They deserved to win this game. Mac Allister breaks the deadlock in the 46th minute. Molina’s cross was good and then Mac Allister fired the ball into the bottom corner. Then in the 67th minute, Alvarez scored and doubled the lead. He did well to beat Szczesny.

A good performance from Brighton’s Midfielder Mac Allister earned him the man of the match award. He scored the first goal of the game which helped the Argentinians get momentum. Argentina has now a great chance to win the world cup they lost their first game then won two in a row to qualify at the top position of their group.

A disastrous performance by Poland

Poland was really poor today. They only managed to attempt 4 shots out of which none was on target. After Messi missed the penalty in the first half they should have changed their plan but this Argentina side was too much for them. They should do something about it as they will face France in the round of 16 and by playing like this they cannot progress further.

Group C games are now done. Both teams that played this match will go to the next stage. Let’s see what happens in the round of 16 as Argentina will face Australia and Polland will fave France. Poland has to do better to beat France but Argentina should win against Australia.
