Morocco Defeated Canada And Finish Top Of Group

Canada and Morocco played their last group match against each other. Morocco qualified for the next stage of the world cup after beating Canada 2-1. Both teams played well, but Morocco came out on top.

Match Breakdown

Canada started the game pretty well. Morocco did help them by scoring their own goal in the 40th minute but Canada could not score anymore. The ball strikes Aguerd who flicks it without knowing where it is going, Bono tried to save it but the ball only touched his fingertips. Canada conceded two goals before this own goal in the first half. All the drama happened in the first half. In the 2nd Canada tried to turn the table but somehow Morocco kept firm. 

Hakim Ziyech scored an early goal in the 4th minute and opened the scoring. He took advantage of the terrible mix-up in the Canadian box. He took the opportunity the lofted the ball above Borjan. In the 23rd minute, they scored again. This time En-Nesyri doubled the lead. He ran to reach Hakimi’s ball and fire it past Borjan. Morocco is really good in this Worldcup. 

Man of the match

Achraf Hakimi is the man of the match as he is always looking to create opportunities for his team. His assist for 2nd goal was really amazing. 

Morocco is on top of the table which is something nobody would predict as they had two giants Belgium and Croatia in their group. Morocco defeated Belgium and drew with Croatia but the group games are now over and the real deal will be started. Let’s see how much further they can go.
