Brazil 4-1 South Korea – Samba Boys Moving To Glory

Brazil booked their place in the quarter-finals after beating South Korea by 4-1. Brazil made a statement that it will not be easy for Croatia to beat them. Today it was too much for South Korea to cope with. Brazil will be facing Croatia in the quarter-finals, as Croatia defeated Japan on penalties earlier.

Why Brazil are favorites

Brazil are one of the strongest team and one of the favorites to win the World Cup and they showed it today. Brazil was lethal in the first half. Real Madrid’s Vinicius scored in the 7th minute after the cross of Barcelona’s Raphinha. This early lead put pressure on South Korea and then Brazil went on to score 3 more goals in the same half. In the 13th minute, Brazil won a penalty and Neymar scored from the spot superbly. Richarlison scored the 3rd Brazillian goal in the 29th minute. It was an amazing team goal that started with great buildup. Lucas Paqueta scored the 4th goal which Vinicius assisted. In the 2nd half, they put their foot off the gas and kept firmly defending till the final whistle. 

Koreans were thrashed in the first half, conceding 4 goals. 2nd half was better for them, they did score in it but it was too late for them to make a comeback. South Korea attempted 8 shots out of which 6 were on target. Despite their good performance, they were not able to overcome the Samba storm.

Man of the match

Neymar made a comeback today after getting injured in the first match against Serbia. He returned with full form and gave a brilliant performance today. Vinicius, Raphinha, and Richarlison, all played extremely well but it was PSG’s number 10 who won the man of the match award.

Brazil will go on to play the quarter-final against Croatia.  Both teams have absolute quality talents. let’s see what happens in the quarter-finals. May the best team win.
